Signs Your ViewLux Door Installation Is Failing

• The latch throws but the door does not compress the weatherstrip. The multi-point lock gearbox has worn cam lobes, common after seven to ten years in Boca Raton’s salt air. The lock sounds engaged, but the hooks or bolts do not draw the slab the final 3/16 inch needed for a seal.

DIY or Call Us?

An owner can safely check the hinge screws for tightness and the threshold for adjustment range using a Phillips head and a flashlight. Do not attempt to remove or adjust a multi-point lock mechanism; the gearbox is under spring tension and the keeper alignment is finicky to within 1/32 inch. A misaligned multi-point lock will score the keepers, damage the faceplate, and void any remaining warranty on the hardware.

IGU replacement requires breaking the seal bead, handling tempered or laminated glass, and re-glazing to manufacturer spec. The liability is not worth the savings.
